About the Role Bon Secours Radiology Technologist at St Francis Medical Center (Richmond area) is a patient-focused role providing diagnostic imaging under the direction of an authorized user, with emphasis on safe use of ionizing radiation and high-quality care. This PRN position supports Radiology Services across all shifts on-site. What You'll Do
- Obtain patient's clinical history and relevant lab work, documenting for licensed practitioners
- Position and immobilize patient to best demonstrate the anatomical area of interest, ensuring patient comfort
- Apply radiation protection principles to minimize exposure to patient, self, and others
- Perform radiographic procedures by selecting and operating imaging equipment and accessories
- Verify informed consent and complete pre- and post-procedure documentation
- Assist licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic and specialized radiography procedures
- Apply aseptic technique as needed
- Perform timeout as required by policy
- Identify, prepare and/or administer medications/contrast as prescribed by a licensed practitioner What We're Looking For
- Associate degree from an ARRT-accredited institute (preferred)
- ARRT Certification and Registration in Diagnostic Radiology (required)
- State Licensure (preferred, unless required by the state where the job is performed)
- BLS Basic Life Support (required at hire for some Bon Secours locations; preferred at hire; required prior to independent patient care at BSMH)
- 1 year experience in radiation safety and patient care (preferred)
- Experience with Radiology Information System (RIS) and PACS (preferred)
- Patient-centered care with strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to monitor patient conditions, record medical histories, and maintain attention to detail
- Critical thinking, active listening, conflict resolution, and relationship building
- Willingness to train on EPIC EHR (preferred) Nice to Have
- EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) experience (preferred)
- Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS) experience (preferred)
- Experience working in an interdisciplinary team Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $26.82 - $41.57 hourly
