About the Role The Radiology Office Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for clerical functions within Imaging Services, coordinating departmental logistics and providing administrative and operational support to department leadership and clinical staff.

What You'll Do

• Acts as primary point of contact for all departmental clerical functions pertaining to Imaging Services.
• Coordinates departmental logistical needs and provides administrative and operational support to leadership and clinical staff.
• Demonstrates knowledge of Medical Imaging modalities and exams.
• Demonstrates the ability to use a personal computer and various software programs applicable to the position (e.g., MS Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Understands insurance and prior authorization requirements.
• Provides appropriate levels of service to Radiology customers across age groups and maintains confidentiality.
• Operates applicable office equipment and maintains regular, punctual attendance.
• Understands emergency systems and responds appropriately to fire, security, disaster, and in-house emergencies.
• Maintains working knowledge of Medical Terminology, ICD-10 and CPT Coding.
• Type speed over 25 words per minute.

What We're Looking For

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; basic understanding of medical terminology.
• Two years of registration or scheduling experience in a medical setting preferred.
• Basic procedural knowledge of Radiology procedures and clerical experience preferred.
• Proficiency with computers and software (Outlook, Word, Excel); ability to navigate web browsers.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Medical Imaging modalities and exams; familiarity with ICD-10 and CPT coding.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work interdepartmentally and with the public; ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to type 25+ words per minute and maintain reliable attendance.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $20.35 - $30.20 USD per hour.
