Job title: Radiologic Technologist - West Dayton Urgent Care
About the Role Dayton Children's is seeking a Radiologic Technologist at the West Dayton Urgent Care to produce quality diagnostic images for patients of all ages using available radiologic equipment, perform EKGs, and assist with patient registration and basic medical assisting tasks. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, collaboration with other departments, and adherence to department quality standards in an off-site setting.
What You'll Do
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images for patients of all ages using radiographic equipment, including EKG as required.
- Assist with patient registration and provide medical assisting support as needed.
- Deliver services with hours aligned to department and customer needs, and work with minimal supervision.
- Maintain strict adherence to quality parameters defined by the Medical Imaging Department.
- Educate patients and families about procedures performed within the center.
- Maintain required educational prerequisites (CPR, Ohio licensure, ARRT registration, hospital-wide mandatory education, and EKG requirements as established by Cardiology).
- Strive to meet departmental goals related to patient satisfaction, registration accuracy, and Cardiology EKG QA/QC.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a smooth continuum of care, resolve patient issues using appropriate hospital contacts, and uphold Dayton Children's reputation and standards in an off-site setting.
What We're Looking For
- Education: HSD/GED is required; Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology/Sciences is required.
- Certification/Licensure: Ohio Radiologic License; ARRT (Radiography); CPR is required.
- Additional: EKG requirements as established by Cardiology; participation in hospital-wide Mandatory Education; strong commitment to patient-centered care and teamwork.
