About the Role The Radiologic Technologist II - Nights at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL is a part-time position (16 hours per week) working every other Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 pm to 7:00 am, with one holiday per year and on-call schedule. This role operates radiology equipment to generate diagnostic images and provides films and records to the clinical team for diagnosis and treatment. The position also involves explaining radiology procedures to patients and positioning them for safe examinations while helping establish patient trust within the team. What You'll Do
- Operate radiology equipment and perform radiographic examinations to provide films/images for diagnosis and treatment.
- Explain radiology procedures to patients, position patients for safe examinations, and help establish patient trust with the clinical team. What We're Looking For
- Education: High School Diploma or GED; Associate’s Degree or higher preferred.
- Licenses/Certifications: IEMA licensure; ARRT Radiography (R) certification required; BLS (CPR/AED) from the American Heart Association required.
- Experience: 1 year of prior x-ray experience in a surgical environment; knowledge of current ACR/JCAHO requirements.
- Additional: Ability to work nights and weekends; strong communication and patient care skills. Nice to Have
- Associate’s Degree or higher (if not already required) is preferred.
- Additional experience with on-call schedules or additional imaging modalities. Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly pay: $31.46 – $48.76; sign-on bonus: $1,000.
- Schedule: Part-time (16 hours/week); every other Saturday and Sunday, 10:30 pm – 7:00 am; one holiday per year; on-call schedule.
