Job title: Radiologic Technologist II - Evenings
About the Role Radiologic Technologist II - Evenings at Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL is a full-time role that supports diagnostic imaging services within a large multidisciplinary team. You will operate radiology equipment, assist clinicians, and help deliver high-quality patient care during evening shifts with on-call duties and rotating weekends/holidays.
What You'll Do
- Operates a variety of radiology equipment to produce radiographs of the body for diagnostic purposes as directed by Radiologists, in accordance with established protocols.
- Assists physicians and other clinical staff with obtaining films, images, and other records using Radiology PACS or hospital information systems.
- Explains procedure to patients, addressing questions to reduce anxiety and promote trust.
- Delivers and ensures customer service in all aspects of the job.
What We're Looking For
- Education: High School Diploma or GED; minimum of an Associate’s Degree or higher preferred.
- License: IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency) licensure.
- Certifications: Certificate of Completion or a letter from the Radiology Program Director from the attended Radiology School. Current CPR Certification (BLS) issued by American Heart Association or Red Cross. At minimum, must be a candidate for ARRT(R) certification (Certificate of Program Completion or a letter from the Radiology Program Director of the accredited school).
- Experience: Knowledge of current American College of Radiology (ACR)/JCAHO requirements to maintain compliance; prior x-ray experience in a surgical environment required.
