Job title: Radiographic Test Inspector
About the Role As a Radiographic Test Inspector, you will inspect pipes using X-Ray equipment to identify and mark defects and ensure compliance with defined quality standards. You will join a global network of professionals in Tenaris’ Industrial Operations, contributing to safe, efficient operations. This position is based in Houston, Texas.
What You'll Do
- Inspect pipes to identify and mark defects per procedures and quality standards.
- Ensure product quality by adhering to defined standards and reporting deviations.
- Execute change over and setup of the X-Ray equipment and revealing equipment.
- Prepare X-Ray plates according to quality procedures.
- Identify and position pipes for inspection.
- Settle X-Ray plates on pipes and align for imaging.
- Perform machine operation and assist with lock outs, tag outs and operative maintenance (revealing fluid, machine adjustments, etc.).
- Update information in tracking systems and record results.
- Work on rotating shifts and be available for overtime, holidays, shifts and weekends as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Familiar with operating a forklift.
- Familiar with operating an overhead crane.
- Familiar with NDT techniques (Magnetic Particles, Visual Inspection).
- Ability to work in a team and maintain a positive attitude.
- Familiar with ERW process and the Tubing Industry.
Nice to Have
- Forklift operation experience.
- Overhead crane operation experience.
- Knowledge of NDT techniques (Magnetic Particles, Visual Inspection).
- Familiarity with ERW process and tubing industry.
