Job Summary

  • They are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Radiographer to perform diagnostic imaging procedures that assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions.
  • The ideal candidate will operate imaging equipment, ensure patient safety and comfort, produce high-quality diagnostic images, and maintain compliance with radiation safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic imaging examinations including X-rays, CT scans, fluoroscopy, and other imaging procedures as required.

  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and addressing any concerns.

  • Position patients accurately to obtain optimal diagnostic images while ensuring their comfort and safety.

  • Operate and maintain radiographic equipment in accordance with established protocols.

  • Ensure compliance with radiation protection and safety regulations for patients, staff, and visitors.

  • Review and evaluate image quality to ensure diagnostic accuracy.

  • Maintain accurate patient records, imaging reports, and documentation.

  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to support patient diagnosis and treatment.

  • Identify equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs or maintenance when necessary.

  • Adhere to infection prevention and control protocols.

  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and confidentiality of patient information.

  • Participate in departmental quality assurance programs and continuous professional development activities.

  • Assist in training junior radiographers, interns, or students where applicable.

  • Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Radiography from a recognized institution.

  • Valid license and registration with the appropriate professional regulatory body.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a diagnostic imaging facility or hospital.

  • Proficiency in operating radiographic equipment and imaging software.

  • Sound knowledge of radiation safety principles and imaging techniques.

  • Familiarity with Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) and Hospital Information Systems (HIS) is an added advantage.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality diagnostic images.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
