Job title: Radiograph Interpreter
About the Role The Radiographic Interpreter uses computer applications to interpret film and electronically acquired radiographs of castings, ensuring discrepancies align with customer specifications and PCC standards. You will determine part acceptability, coordinate repairs, and sign final reports approving castings for customers.
What You'll Do
- Review technique cards and paperwork to confirm part specifications and ensure proper evaluation.
- Sort radiographs by view for each part.
- Check radiographs for image quality, sensitivity, and accuracy according to requirements.
- Ensure proper image file management protocol is followed.
- Interpret and evaluate radiographs to identify discrepancies and determine if parts meet customer and PCC standards.
- Decide if parts are acceptable or require repair, and mark and route parts accordingly.
- Sign final reports approving castings sent to customers.
What We're Looking For
- Experience interpreting radiographs (film and digital) of castings.
- Familiarity with customer specifications and PCC standards.
- Ability to determine part acceptability and necessary repairs.
- Proficiency with computer applications used for radiograph interpretation.
- Attention to detail in reviewing specifications, radiographs, and image quality.
- Knowledge of image file management practices.
- Ability to communicate clearly and coordinate with production for repairs.
