Radio Systems Technician
Location: Fort Pierce, Florida (On-site)
Duration: rolling contract with possible conversion
Role Overview
Our organization is seeking an experienced Radio Systems Technician to program, troubleshoot, repair, align, and maintain radio communication equipment. The role involves supporting emergency services radio systems, including P25 dispatch and radio communications, primarily within St. Lucie County. This position requires participation in an on-call rotation and involves fieldwork with a provided company vehicle.
Key Responsibilities

Perform maintenance checks, troubleshoot, and repair radio communication systems for public safety and local government clients.

Provide customer support by responding to service requests and addressing system functionality concerns.

Educate customers on system operation and maintenance.

Maintain accurate records of service calls, work performed, and issues encountered.

Collaborate with project managers and other technicians to ensure project execution.

Follow all safety protocols and procedures during installations and repairs.

Required Qualifications
-
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in the technical services field is required. Experience with two-way radio systems, specifically P25, Motorola, or L3 Harris systems, is necessary.

Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. An Associate’s degree (AS/AA) or technical training in electronics, computers, networking, or RF is also acceptable.

Skills
- Intermediate knowledge of RF test equipment, including signal generators, RF service monitors, spectrum analyzers, and LAN testers, is required.
Additional Requirements:

Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a national motor vehicle record check.

Availability for on-call rotation, approximately one week every three weeks, with a one-hour response time.

Strong communication skills for direct customer interaction and troubleshooting.

Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
