About the Role Join Logan Health Radiation Oncology as a Radiation Therapist in Kalispell, Montana. This full-time, on-site role delivers radiation therapy and simulation per Radiation Oncologist prescriptions, with a 4x10 hour shift schedule and a $10,000 sign-on bonus for experienced therapists. The facility offers easy access to Glacier National Park and outdoor recreation opportunities.
What You'll Do
- Provide radiation therapy and simulation to patients using a variety of equipment and software as directed by the Radiation Oncologist.
- Verify and implement radiation therapy prescriptions for simulation and treatment; perform chart checks and support accurate timely billing.
- Maintain schedules within staffing and budgeting constraints; keep detailed records of technical, legal, and statistical components of treatment.
- Use IGRT appropriately; perform conventional and IMRT therapy and CT simulation; stay abreast of current treatment options and proper billing support.
- Perform QA essential to safe patient handling and document QA activities; participate in safety, quality, and performance improvement processes.
- Collaborate with department staff, participate in orientation and training for new procedures/equipment; assist with brachytherapy, PET simulation, 4DCT, DIBH, SBRT, SRS, and FSRS as ordered.
- Provide compassionate patient support and refer for symptomatic or psychological support as needed.
What We're Looking For
- ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy (minimum of one of: ARRT certification; eligible to take ARRT exam and must obtain within six months of hire).
- Current Healthcare Provider CPR required.
- Understanding of confidentiality laws (HIPAA) and patient privacy.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to work both in a team and independently.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn additional software.
- Commitment to patient care, confidentiality, and professionalism.
Nice to Have
- Experience with TrueBeam Linear Accelerators, OSMS, CT, RPM, and CRAD activities.
- Experience with brachytherapy, PET simulation, 4DCT, DIBH, SBRT, SRS, and FSRS.
