Job title: Radiation Protection Technician B Sr-Nuclear
About the Role The Radiation Protection Technician B Sr-Nuclear provides radiological protection, performing surveys across plant systems and facilities to ensure ALARA and compliance. This onsite role supports the Emergency Response Organization and requires residence within 75 minutes of the site.
What You'll Do
- Perform radiological surveys on the primary, secondary, auxiliary systems, plant buildings and grounds.
- Provide contamination and dose control; maintain the Radiation Work Permit Program; track radiation exposure for personnel and work tasks; determine methods to reduce radiation exposure.
- Establish worker stay times; establish radiological work requirements; maintain laboratory quality control; calibrate and operate instruments; respond to off normal conditions.
- Maintain radiation exposures ALARA; maintain radiation exposures within limits; maintain respiratory protection program; radiologically post the power plant.
- Respond to off normal radiological conditions; understand adverse radiological conditions on equipment and personnel performance; serve as a member of the Emergency Response Organization.
What We're Looking For
- Senior Technician with at least 6 years of commercial nuclear experience; at least 2 years experience at the facility.
- Technical understanding of nuclear generation principles and operations; outstanding communication and conflict management skills; proficiency with current computer business applications.
Nice to Have
- Asset Suite, Sentinel and P6 software experience
