Radiation Protection Operations Supervisor

About the Role Provides first line supervision of Entergy full time and temporary Radiation Protection Operations personnel in a safe, productive manner. Supervises the daily RP Operations tasks including on shift activities and manages multiple, possibly conflicting priorities. What You'll Do

• Manage a multi-disciplined group including union and contractor oversight while leading RP operations on shift.
• Maintain an excellent understanding of the work management process and function as a team leader.
• Assist in RP budget development and operate within the budget.
• Communicate with all levels of the organization, representing the RP department at meetings.
• Ensure RP tasks are performed safely and efficiently; propose time-saving tooling and work methods.
• Ensure all RP activities comply with regulatory and procedural guidelines; manage personnel and resolve conflicts or concerns.
• Interface with other Entergy sites to maximize resource sharing of RP personnel; interface with regulatory and industry representatives on behalf of station activities.
• Communicate technical Radiation Protection information verbally and in writing; participate in the shared resources program.
• Serve as a member of the Emergency Response Organization. What We're Looking For
• Education: B.S. in Health Physics or related technical degree (may be credited for 3 years of experience) or equivalent work experience; may meet ANSI/ANS Standards and Regulatory Guidelines.
• Experience: At least 5 years of RP Operations experience; 4 years of experience in the craft or discipline supervised; must satisfy ANSI/ANS Standards and site requirements (FSAR, Technical Specifications).
• Knowledge/Skills: Technical proficiency in RP Operations; understanding of nuclear generation principles; proficiency with current computer business applications.
• Certifications/Licenses: ANSI 4.3.2 Supervisors Not Requiring NRC Licenses (high school diploma or equivalent; four years of experience in the craft).
• Other: Ability to interact with regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders; strong communication skills. Compensation & Benefits
