About this role

The R&D Manager Regulatory Affairs at Wella International Operations Switzerland Sàrl is focused on PS&RA Systems, Technical Data and Project Management with emphasis on operational and technical support across hair categories and brands. The role begins with the full integration of the Briogeo brand line within Wella processes and systems to enable Briogeo’s global innovation strategy and improve technical readiness, efficiency, and speed.

Responsibilities

  • Enable the full integration of Briogeo into Wella PS&RA/R&D systems and ways of working.
  • Assist Briogeo’s project management activities, including interfacing with outsourced PS&RA capabilities and delivering documentation, planning, tracking, and risk assessments/communication.
  • Support the development, implementation, and optimization of new system tools, digital solutions, and AI-enabled capabilities to improve PS&RA efficiency, speed, and productivity across Regulatory Affairs and Product Safety disciplines.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements, and contribute to enhanced workflows and data handling practices.
  • Support ongoing PS&RA activities by using document management systems to organize, maintain, and control regulatory documentation; prepare, organize, and maintain compliant regulatory documentation aligned with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Represent PS&RA in cross-R&D/company-wide projects aimed at establishing new IT/digital/AI capabilities.

Requirements

  • Adequate education in chemistry or related scientific topics to manage R&D/PS&RA documentation and data; at least a Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline (Master’s level or equivalent preferred).
  • Advanced IT skills and the ability to quickly learn new software/databases; programming knowledge is a plus (preferably Python and Java).
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects with large datasets; experience with modeling/systems is advantageous.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a diverse team at various levels; capable of meeting deadlines and adapting to changing priorities and interruptions.
  • Very good English, both spoken and written; knowledge of a second foreign language is a plus.
  • Strong written communication skills, especially for technical topics.
  • High commitment and motivation for a career in systems/technical data management/IT within R&D-Regulatory Affairs.
