Job Summary

Responsible for operating quilting machinery to produce high-quality quilted mattress components in a manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibilities

Operate and monitor automated and semi-automated quilting machines, ensuring proper tension, stitch patterns, and material feed.
Load and unload fabric rolls, batting, and other materials onto quilting machines.
Perform routine machine adjustments, such as tension settings and needle changes, to maintain product quality.
Inspect quilted components for defects, inconsistencies, or errors and make necessary corrections.
Identify and troubleshoot minor machine malfunctions, escalating complex issues to maintenance personnel.
Maintain a clean and organized work area around the quilting machinery.
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Follow production schedules and quality control standards.
Document production data as required.

Job Qualifications

Previous experience operating industrial sewing or quilting machinery preferred.
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify visual defects.
Basic mechanical aptitude for minor machine adjustments.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Must be able to lift and move materials up to 25 pounds.
Good hand-eye coordination.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
Basic understanding of quality control principles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
