Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage project costs, prepare accurate estimates, and ensure construction projects are completed within budget while maintaining quality and compliance with contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for construction projects.
- Monitor project costs and provide regular cost reports to management.
- Prepare tender and contract documents and evaluate contractor quotations.
- Conduct quantity take-offs and cost analyses from drawings and specifications.
- Value completed work and prepare interim and final payment certificates.
- Monitor variations, claims, and contract changes throughout the project lifecycle.
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, architects, contractors, and clients on cost-related matters.
- Ensure projects are delivered within approved budgets while maintaining quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of project costs, contracts, and procurement activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of cost estimation, contract administration, and construction procurement processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quantity surveying software is an added advantage.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
