About the Role Rotating 12 Hour Shift. The Quality Technician conducts inspections, tests, and measurements on finished and semi-finished products in a timely manner, records results, and notifies appropriate personnel of any out of specification conditions. Records actions taken to address out of specification. What You'll Do
- Collect samples and perform inspections, tests, and measuring in accordance with published control plans.
- Generate nonconformance reports in accordance with published procedures regarding control of non-conformances.
- Generate reports documenting all measurement, inspection, testing results and actions taken when results do not meet specifications.
- Maintain the QA Incoming Area and QA Lab to appropriate cleanliness and orderliness standards.
- Perform receiving inspections in accordance with published procedures and record/report results.
- Support or fill in for Quality Inspector in their shift.
- Ensure all inspection, measuring and test equipment is handled with care, kept clean and stored properly when not in use. Report any issues immediately.
- Store samples, retains, standards, records in accordance with standard procedures. What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or G.E.D required; one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous experience as a quality control inspector preferred; FDA regulated industries experience preferred.
- Ability to work all shifts and overtime; future training and/or education may be necessary to further job skills.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and PowerPoint presentations, reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units or measures, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Basic skill knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to perform visual inspection and successfully read and apply technical material including print specifications.
- Position Eligibility Criteria: must have been in current role for six (6) months; met or exceeded performance on last review; clear of any written warnings for the last six (6) months; clear from probation or suspension for the last six (6) months. Compensation & Benefits
