Quality Technician

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Technician to join our manufacturing team in Coyol, Alajuela. In this role, you will inspect and test products throughout the manufacturing process to verify compliance with quality standards, technical specifications, and applicable requirements. You will document results, identify quality concerns, and collaborate with other functions to support corrective actions and continuous improvement.

Our Team

You will be part of the Quality team at Molex, a Koch company. Our team works closely with Production and Engineering to prevent defects, resolve quality issues, and ensure that our products consistently meet established requirements.

What You Will Do

• Perform inspections and quality tests at different stages of the manufacturing process to verify product conformity
• Operate measuring instruments, testing tools, and quality control equipment accurately and safely
• Document inspection results, test data, defects, and quality metrics in accordance with established procedures
• Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and quality standards to determine product acceptance
• Analyze quality information to identify trends, recurring defects, and opportunities for improvement
• Collaborate with Production and Engineering to investigate quality issues and support corrective actions
• Maintain accurate quality records and prepare reports for review by relevant stakeholders
• Support compliance with applicable ISO requirements and internal quality procedures
• Perform routine calibration checks and coordinate equipment maintenance when required
• Communicate quality concerns and inspection findings promptly to supervisors and relevant functions
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on manufacturing processes and product quality

Who You Are Basic Qualifications

• Experience working as a Quality Technician, Quality Inspector, or in a similar quality control position within a manufacturing environment
• Experience performing product inspections and applying quality control or testing procedures
• Experience using measuring instruments, inspection equipment, and testing tools
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and quality requirements
• Experience recording inspection results and maintaining quality documentation using computer-based systems

What Will Put You Ahead

• Knowledge of statistical process control SPC
• Experience working with quality management systems
• Knowledge of ISO standards and applicable compliance requirements
• Experience analyzing quality data and supporting root cause investigations or corrective actions
• Experience performing equipment calibration checks
• Experience working in electronics manufacturing or another regulated manufacturing environment
