Job title: Quality Technician III
About the Role Well-defined, detail-oriented Quality Technician III within the Watts tekmar Quality team. This role drives continuous improvement and ensures compliance with internal standards and customer requirements, with a strong focus on reducing NCRs and customer claims while supporting production in maintaining high quality standards.
What You'll Do
- Analyze and identify trends in product nonconformance (NCRs and RMAs) to drive root cause investigations and implement effective corrective actions, ensuring comprehensive 8D documentation.
- Collaborate with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering to review/revise New Product Development (APQP realization: DFM, FMEA), PPAP/FAI processes to uphold quality standards.
- Participate in Material Review Board activities to ensure accurate NCR and scrap data, driving actions to reduce waste and improve cost-efficiency.
- Prepare and present reports on supplier quality performance, production quality performance, and customer quality data with the Quality Manager.
- Support Production and Manufacturing Engineering in developing/maintaining Quality Acceptance Criteria Standards and train Operations staff.
- Work with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Planning, Operations, and other manufacturing functions).
- Review and act on Return Material Authorization (RMA) records in IFS daily and communicate with customers regarding product returns.
- Initiate corrective action requests to suppliers (SCAR) when nonconforming material is identified, ensuring proper closure with documentation.
- Conduct process, product, and system internal audits per annual internal audit program.
- Create/update quality documentation (SOPs, work instructions, control plans) to ensure proper release and training.
- Support Material Inspections and dispositions; assist with continuous improvement activities.
- Take on additional projects/duties as assigned by Quality Manager or management.

What We're Looking For
- Electronic Engineering Technical Diploma, or Industrial/Mechanical Engineering Technical Diploma.
- 3+ years of electronic / quality control experience.
- Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices.
- Ability to establish employment eligibility and complete background checks (reference and national criminal record).
