Job title: Quality Supervisor
About the Role The Quality Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality in all aspects of the production process and for maintaining the integrity of operations. The role includes supervising the quality team, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, and driving continuous improvement across production.
What You'll Do
- Oversee all quality aspects and ensure products conform to approved standards and specifications.
- Champion the implementation and monitoring of ITAF and make recommendations.
- Investigate and resolve quality non-conformances and customer quality complaints.
- Investigate internal and external non-conformances and ensure countermeasures are put in place.
- Monitor 4M changes (Man, Machine, Method and Material) with all relevant parties.
- Analyze defects and take remedial action; analyze data to identify areas for improvement in the production process.
- Conduct process and system audits and resolve findings/discrepancies.
- Act as a customer representative and customer support contact.
- Maintain ISO certification; monthly reporting of quality metrics and updating of test plans and protocols.
- Ensure that all equipment is calibrated on time and maintain calibration register/schedule.
- Maintain customer KPI reporting and monitor adherence to production requirements.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions; drive continuous improvement, efficiency, service and cost savings.
- Provide quality training; implement Health and Safety standards.
- Supervise employees, coordinate scheduling of work tasks, and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations; perform root-cause analysis and implement preventive actions.
- Plan development potential of subordinates.
What We're Looking For
- Understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS); knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ITAF 16949.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting/problem solving skills; ability to identify root causes and develop effective solutions.
- Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions; experience with data collection and KPI reporting.
- Proven leadership, communication and organizational skills; ability to work under pressure.
- Experience in Quality Control and Quality Assurance and knowledge of calibration and documentation controls.
