Job title: Quality Specialist
About the Role The Quality Specialist is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality in all aspects of the production process, ensuring products meet customer requirements and maintaining the integrity of the production process. The role also involves supporting ad hoc supervision of inspectors where applicable.
What You'll Do
- Oversee all quality aspects and ensure all products conform to applicable approved standards and specifications.
- Investigate and resolve Quality Non-conformances.
- Investigate and resolve customer quality complaints.
- Investigate internal and external non-conformances and ensure countermeasures are put in place.
- Monitor 4M changes (Man, Machine, Method and Material) with all relevant parties.
- Analyze all defects and take the necessary remedial action.
- Analyze data to identify areas of improvement in the production process.
- Conduct process and system audits and resolve findings/discrepancies.
- Act as a customer representative and customer support contact.
- Oversee the documentation of data obtained during all quality activities consistent with company policies and procedures, including IMDS, SOC, and other environmental activity management.
- Maintain document library related to Quality issues and requirements.
- Ensure that all equipment is calibrated timeously and maintain calibration register/schedule.
- Maintain customer KPI reporting.
- Monitor and review Packaging Standards.
- Implement standards, procedures and processes to meet the required quality standards.
- Develop, maintain and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and work instructions.
- Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, customer service and cost savings.
- Conduct quality training.
- Conduct and supervise inspection of internal damages.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Analyze cause of problems to operation and follow up with corrective/preventive action.
- Submit Quality Reports and close off with Export Countries.
- Handling of Insurance claims with all stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
- Relevant Diploma in Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, or related fields.
- ISO certification.
- Understanding of QMS.
- Read and interpret quality specification data with understanding of company policies and internal controls.
- Collects and researches data, designs workflows and procedures.
- Ability to analyse data and make data-driven decisions.
- Fully understand the requirements of the product/material.
- In-depth understanding of quality control procedures/systems and relevant legal standards.
- Good working knowledge of data analysis/statistical methods.
- Familiar with safety protocols and regulatory requirements in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong flair for Quality Administration and Reporting.
