Quality Manager, Themed Amusements
Our client is seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Quality Manager for their team! You’ll lead and manage quality assurance and quality control activities across multiple amusement ride projects.
Responsibilities of the Quality Manager, Themed Amusements
- Expand, implement, and oversee all QA and QC activities across the full lifecycle of ride system projects, from design and procurement through fabrication, assembly, installation, and commissioning
- Actively participate in incoming and in-process part and component inspections, assembly verifications, and dimensional inspections; support factory acceptance testing and site acceptance testing activities
- Ensure all products and processes meet applicable engineering specifications, internal standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., ASTM F24, F1193 standards)
- Implement and continuously improve quality management systems, procedures, and documentation
- Serve as the primary quality representative for internal teams, vendors, and clients
- Oversee supplier and vendor quality requirements
- Lead identification and disposition of nonconforming products, conduct root cause analyses, and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Provide feedback to engineering on DFM and quality improvements as needed
- Perform additional tasks and projects as required
Qualifications of the Quality Manager, Themed Amusements
- Associate degree in Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in quality assurance/quality control within amusement rides, heavy machinery, structural steel, or similar industries
- Demonstrated experience with fabrication, welding, and mechanical assemblies
- Experience working across full project lifecycles (design through installation)
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T, dimensional inspection techniques and tools, welding standards and inspection practices, and material specifications and certification review
- Familiarity with relevant standards, including ASTM F24
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities across concurrent projects
- Experience with quality systems (ISO 9001 or equivalent) preferred
