Job title: Quality Manager
About the Role Spartan Emergency Response, part of REV Group, seeks a Quality Manager to implement and maintain Ladder Tower’s quality management system, drive root cause analysis, and ISO 9000 initiatives across daily operations. This role leads the quality organization, ensures product conformity, and partners with regulatory and customers to deliver high-quality emergency response vehicles.
What You'll Do
- Set quality compliance objectives and department goals that support business initiatives, ensure targets are achieved.
- Build a customer-centric culture that ensures delivery of products that meet customer requirements, exceed expectations, and comply with specifications.
- Obtain feedback from customers on areas of satisfaction and dissatisfaction; manage customer complaints and develop action items to improve marketplace success.
- Manage, organize, build, and continually improve the quality infrastructure to maintain Ladder Tower’s Quality Management System.
- Maintain quality inspection, test, and validation programs for in-process and finished goods.
- Establish, review, approve, revise, implement, maintain, and control the quality management system in line with Ladder Tower’s objectives.
- Enforce the controls established by Ladder Tower’s quality management system; lead ISO efforts; drive lean/continuous improvement.
- Direct, control, and staff the Quality department; evaluate staff performance; provide training and development.
- Liaise with regulatory agencies, clients, auditors, and suppliers; develop and implement internal quality audits; approve suppliers/subcontractors.
- Manage calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment; coordinate management reviews as part of the management review board.
- Respond to customer complaints with containment, root cause investigations, corrective actions, and follow-up.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Technical degree or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of hands-on quality and leadership experience in manufacturing, preferably in customized vehicle industry.
- In-depth knowledge of Quality systems (PPAP, DFMEA, PFMEA, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, APQP, 8D, Control Plan, ISO 9000).
- Experience with product maintenance and testing and industry standards (ISO 9001, NFPA, FAA, ASTM); problem solving and communication skills; organized self-starter; team facilitation and leadership.
Nice to Have
- Preferred experience with ISO 9001, NFPA, FAA, ASTM and related standards.
- Any additional certifications or training in Six Sigma, Lean, or QA leadership.
