About the Role Precision Castparts is seeking Inspection/Quality personnel to check parts against specifications listed on shop travelers, drawings, and visual product standards. The role also requires maintaining a safe and clean work area and operating measuring equipment to prevent damage and ensure product quality.
What You'll Do
- Use measuring equipment (including height gauges, comparators, micrometers, etc.) to verify that parts and finished products meet the requirements specified on drawings for dimensions, materials, surface finishes, and other requirements.
- Inspect parts to shop travelers, drawings, and visual product specifications.
- Maintain a safe, clean work area and operate/maintain measuring equipment in a manner that prevents damage to equipment.
- Interpret drawings and shop travelers to ensure conformance with specifications.
