About the Role The Quality Inspector ensures that parts, materials, and assemblies meet drawings, specifications, and manufacturing routers through visual and dimensional inspection. This role supports quality objectives by accurately documenting results and collaborating with production and engineering teams.
What You'll Do
- Perform detailed visual and dimensional inspections of parts, materials, and assemblies to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and manufacturing routers
- Utilize precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and microscopes to verify critical dimensions
- Accurately complete inspection records, checklists, and reports, ensuring documentation complies with AS9100 or FAA standards
- Identify, document, and segregate discrepant or defective material (non-conformances) and report them to quality management
- Communicate findings effectively with production personnel and engineers to resolve quality issues
What We're Looking For
- Experience performing visual and dimensional inspections
- Proficiency with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, microscopes)
- Familiarity with AS9100 and/or FAA standards for inspection documentation
- Ability to identify and segregate non-conforming materials and escalate appropriately
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with production and engineering
