Job title: Quality Inspector M/F
About the Role The Quality Inspector will ensure that all products and raw materials meet CFAO's quality standards through testing, measuring, analysing and evaluating. Based in South Africa, this role supports the CFAO MOBILITY division in delivering reliable automotive quality and safety across products and components.
What You'll Do
- Report on all quality inspections
- Conduct visual inspection
- Report and record non-conforming products
- Monitor and manage quarantine area
- Conduct random sampling in accordance with set requirements
- Warranty investigation claims
- Reporting quality incidents and non-conformances
- Conduct process checks and advise the Team Leader of any defects
- Participate in quality related activities as may be assigned from time to time
- Ensure compliance with safety and standard work procedures
- Drive continuous improvement
What We're Looking For
- MINIMUM QUALIFICATION: Matric Certificate
- PREFERRED QUALIFICATION: Relevant Quality certification / technical qualification
- EXPERIENCE: At least 3 to 5 years relevant Quality Control experience in Automotive Manufacturing or Manufacturing
- TECHNICAL PRE-REQUISITE: Ability to read drawings and use measuring tools
- OTHER: Ability to work shifts, overtime as required, good attendance and punctuality
- COMPETENCY PRE-REQUISITE: Detail oriented, able to work under pressure, self-motivated, resilient, independent, able to lead by example and work cross-functionally
Nice to Have
- Relevant Quality certification / technical qualification (preferred)
- Experience with QA processes and continuous improvement approaches
