Quality Inspector / Electrical Assurance Technician

Volt is immediately hiring an Quality Inspector / Electrical Assurance Technician for a manufacturing environment in Houston, TX 77039
As an Quality Inspector / Electrical Assurance Technician, you will:
- Perform quality inspections using gauges, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments
- Conduct electrical function testing, visual inspections, and dimensional inspections on raw castings, switch-racks, and work-in-process materials
- Lead and perform First Article Inspections (FAI), incoming receiving inspections, and final product inspections
- Complete routine manufacturing process and quality audits
- Verify products conform to engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and tolerance requirements
- Identify, document, and report quality issues and non-conforming materials
- Generate and maintain Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and quality records
- Track and maintain quality assurance documentation and inspection data
- Coordinate the calibration and recalibration of inspection and measurement equipment
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality concerns
- Participate in ongoing training and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support additional quality and inspection activities as assigned
- Work overtime as needed to support production schedules
This is a full-time opportunity.
Schedule: Monday to Friday 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM
The ideal candidate will have:
Required Skills & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous experience as a Quality Inspector, QA Inspector, Quality Control Inspector, Manufacturing Inspector, or Quality Technician
- Experience reading engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Strong understanding of dimensional inspection techniques and measuring instruments
- Ability to identify defects and ensure compliance with quality standards
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Basic computer and data entry skills
Pay Rate: $20.61 to $22.22 per hour
Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
