HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

ContiTech is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our Quality team. In this role, you will support product quality and manufacturing performance through material testing, inspections, and reporting activities. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments to ensure products meet customer and company quality standards.

Your Tasks

• Perform testing on raw compounds, fabrics, and finished products in accordance with established procedures and test methods
• Conduct production adhesion testing, incoming material inspections, and R&D/project-related testing
• Evaluate and process QC Holds
• Communicate test results and notify management of potential quality concerns or nonconforming materials
• Ensure testing and reporting activities are completed accurately and in a timely manner
• Support compliance with customer specifications, quality standards, and internal procedures
• Maintain accurate quality documentation and reporting records
• Assist with investigations and resolution of quality-related issues
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and support continuous improvement activities
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with ISO 9001, safety, company policies and procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in line with 5S and safety expectations

THE ENVIRONMENT

• Work involves standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working around machinery
• The job is within a non-climate-controlled environment where you will be exposed to temperature swings (hot/cold), forklift and pedestrian traffic, and noise.

Qualifications

• WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Ability to use basic inspection and measurement tools, including tape measures, calipers, and micrometers.

• Basic understanding of common units of measurement, including fractions and decimals.

• Ability to read and interpret basic dimensions, tolerances, and product specifications.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to accurately document inspection results and identify potential quality concerns.

• Effective communication and basic problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

• Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and Outlook.

• ADDITIONAL WAYS TO STAND OUT

• Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a Quality or Production-related role.

• Experience with SAP

• Experience with ISO 9001 quality systems

• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience

• Positive attitude and a team player
