Job title: Quality Inspector
About the Role ANDRITZ is seeking a QA Inspector to strengthen the Algete team and manage the workflow of new orders in the Hydropower division. The role focuses on verifying quality requirements, performing non-destructive testing, and ensuring conformity to inspection and test plans and quality standards.
What You'll Do
- Verify quality requirements defined in inspection and test plans and quality standards.
- Prepare for inspections (drawings, ITPs, NCRs, etc.).
- Set up and maintain test equipment.
- Perform non-destructive testing (VT MT PT UT) on new and existing parts (forged and cast pieces, welded structures) in Algete.
- Record and classify test results according to acceptance criteria.
- Report results and create non-conformity reports in case of non-conformities.
- Cooperate with Quality Engineers and Technical Dpt regarding ITPs, procedures, record sheets and results.
- Manage NDT test data and DATABOOK preparation; handle non-conformities and concession requests.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma in mechanical/metallurgical engineering.
- Good organizational and coordination skills; ability to work in a team and problem-solving.
- Accreditation for NDT EN 9712 Level 2 (VT MT PT UT).
- Experience (min 5 years) of NDT checks on forged, castings and welded structures.
- Availability to travel in Spain and abroad for testing and inspection at suppliers.
- English.
- Experience in managing testing with customer’s presence.
- Good knowledge of IT tools.
- Experience in dimensional checks.
