As a Quality & Food Safety Specialist you will maintain Quality and Food Safety Systems, ensuring they agree with current regulations and Givaudan Global Policies. As well, as develop and establish in the administration of Supplier and Customer Quality Programs while delivering real-time-floor corrections, and resolutions to operations.
Responsibilities
- Build local Quality and Food Safety programs, including:
- Maintain the local quality/food safety documentation
- Help perform internal and external audits and monthly inspections.
- Complete Quality-portion of Customer Questionnaire and related documents together with other stakeholders (Quality agreements, and specification reviews)
- Support Global and Regional projects for Customer Quality Service initiatives
- Manage regulatory programs requirements such as halal, kosher, and Organic.
- Perform and report on vendor audits.
- Coordinate investigation of non-conformances. Including participation in investigations and review of root causes, trend analysis and action follow-up.
- Lead and execute Food Safety programs on site. Monitor the performance and lead continuous improvement initiatives including:
- Food Safety Manual
- Document and Record Control
- Product development
- Specifications (Raw Material, Packaging, Finished Product and Services)
- Non-Conforming Materials and Rework
- Complaint Management
- Food Safety Plan
- Identification, Traceability, Recall and Withdrawal
- Allergen Management
- Training
- Hygienic Design and Engineering
- Pest Prevention
- Maintenance Program
- Calibration
- Cleaning and Sanitation
- Personnel Hygiene
- Environmental Monitoring
- Utility Supply
- Receipt, Storage, and Transport
- Waste Disposal
- Food Defense
- Participate in initiatives in quality, food safety and EHS, CI, Cost Saving, etc.
- Support Regional and Global initiatives in Quality Management and Food Safety programs
- Monitor Quality and Food Safety Performance Indicator.
- Drive/Coordinate initiatives to improve performance indicators.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Preferably Technical degree or equivalent in Science (Food Science, Food Service, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field), Business, or experience with track record.

Minimum 3-year function related work experience (Food Manufacturing, Quality Assurance)

Proficient in Quality Management Systems and Quality Tools (Including: ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, PCQI, HACCP training, GMP, Auditor Experience), and continuous improvement.

The individual in this role must be familiar with Microsoft Office operations.

It is value adding if the individual familiar with Food Safety testing instrumentation, including but not limited to Chemistry Testing for Water, Microbiology and ATP Swabbing, and Allergen Swabbing.

Compensation and Benefits
-
The established salary range for this hourly position is $34-$37 per hour . Actual compensation will depend on individual qualifications. Medical, dental, and vision coverage and a high-matching 401(k) retirement plan.
