Quality Engineering Technician

About the Role Silvus Technologies is seeking a Quality Engineering Technician who will report to the Quality Engineer Supervisor on the Operations - Quality Control team. The successful individual will be responsible for inspecting and maintaining proper documentation and reporting of incoming electronic and mechanical parts. This role collaborates closely with our Engineers and Suppliers to suggest changes, improvements, and communicate customer requirements. This position is 100% onsite, located at Silvus Technologies’ headquarters in West Los Angeles, CA. What You'll Do

• Perform acceptance testing on first article PCBs, assemblies, and components in a Linux-based environment.
• Prepare assemblies according to established acceptance testing procedures.
• Support maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and upgrading of test stations.
• Perform rigorous stress testing on fully built assemblies to validate components.
• Identify the serviceability of parts and components and appropriate tooling.
• Inspect First Article components and subassemblies.
• Read and interpret part documentation including blueprints, drawings, schematics, etc.
• Prepare in-process inspection report ensuring completeness and accuracy.
• Work closely with engineering and operations leadership to develop and maintain Quality Assurance and Quality Control documentation.
• Collaborate with the engineering and quality teams to identify, investigate, and document any inconsistent or abnormal test results.
• Perform other related duties of which the above are representative. What We're Looking For
• High School Diploma or GED, with a minimum of 3-4 years of experience in electronics assembly, inspection, or repair; OR an Associate’s degree in Electronics, with 1-2 years of relevant experience; OR a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or a related field.
• Experience with utilizing inspection tools (i.e., multi-meters, calipers, micrometers, microscopes).
• Ability to read basic schematics, specifically those related to PCBs and PWAs.
• Proficient with PC and familiar with MS Office.
• Must have excellent organizational skills, be highly attentive to details, and have the capacity to handle numerous tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent and effective oral and written communication.
• Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to clients under U.S. federal contracts.
• All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug test. Nice to Have
• Prior experience in a fast-paced production/manufacturing environment.
• Soldering experience.
• IPC Certification. Compensation & Benefits
• Pay range: $34.50 - $40.25 per hour. This role is 100% onsite at Silvus Technologies HQ in West Los Angeles, CA. Pay transparency provided; actual offer based on candidate's knowledge, skills, and experience.
