Quality Engineer

About the Role

A Quality Engineer responsible for crafting compressor installation and test plans in line with customer specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and technical parameters. This role involves documenting detailed test and installation plans and driving quality across the materials and manufacturing lifecycle.

What You'll Do

• Check different types of quality certificates of raw material, semi-finished parts, and machined components as per material standards
• Ensure the content of certificates received from suppliers meets company quality standards
• Work with cross-functional teams to notify deviations in quality certificate content
• Initiate discussions with cross-functional teams to improve the process
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce cycle time
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to investigate and resolve issues affecting the overall process cycle
• Expedite with supplier/project engineers to meet due dates in a globally distributed setup
• Apply knowledge of manufacturing processes (Casting, Forging, Machining, Heat Treatment) to quality assurance
• What We're Looking For
• Bachelor's degree in engineering; preferably 2 to 4 years’ minimum relevant experience as a Quality Engineer
• Proven work experience as a Quality Engineer or similar role
• Basic knowledge of Quality Management System (QMS)
• Knowledge of various types of quality certificates, quality documents, Quality Dossiers, material test certificates, EX-ATEX certificates, quality standards
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Proficiency in PLM (Teamcenter/Globus) and ERP system (SAP) and web-based portals
• Good English communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills; ability to coordinate with global teams
• Experience working remotely in a globally distributed setup
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes (Casting, Forging, Machining, Heat Treatment)
• Basic knowledge of Six-Sigma, root cause analysis (RCA), CAPA
