Job title: Quality Engineer
About the Role Quality Engineer, under minimal direction, is responsible for maintaining assigned elements of the site Quality Management System and supporting the site’s audit and corrective action processes in a manufacturing environment.
What You'll Do
- Maintain and improve the element of the site's Quality Management System (QMS).
- Manage the Internal Audit program by creating audit plans, assigning and tracking audits, ensuring timely completion, reporting results, and creating/circulating process metrics.
- Manage the customer complaints and corrective action system by assigning corrective actions, coordinating retests, tracking actions to completion, approving plans, reporting results, and creating follow-up audits and metrics.
- Oversee stamp control program and ensure proper documentation control.
- Author new and revise existing Quality System documented information.
- Coordinate audits with external bodies (Nadcap, AS9100 Registrar, FAA) and customers.
- Assist in training and development of department personnel.
- Comply with environmental health and safety practices and regulations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree (B.S. or B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or equivalent experience and certifications.
- Experience with quality management systems, internal audits, and documentation control.
- Ability to coordinate audits and corrective actions with process owners and suppliers.
