As a Quality Engineer focused on New Product Introduction (NPI), you will play a critical role in ensuring new products are successfully launched and transitioned into stable mass production. You will serve as the key quality partner between Product Development, Manufacturing, Operations, and Engineering teams, helping identify risks, establish robust quality controls, and drive successful product launches.

In this role, you will leverage your technical expertise, problem-solving capabilities, and ability to influence cross-functional teams to ensure product and process requirements are effectively implemented while delivering long-term value to the organization and our customers.

Our Team

Our New Product Introduction team is responsible for bringing innovative products from development into manufacturing. We collaborate closely with Product Development, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality organizations to ensure new products are launched successfully, risks are mitigated early, and manufacturing processes are capable of consistently meeting customer expectations.

What You Will Do

• Lead quality activities throughout the New Product Introduction and production ramp-up process.
• Act as the primary quality liaison between Product Development and Manufacturing teams.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate quality risks during product introduction and launch activities.
• Support and drive the implementation of PFMEA, Control Plans, inspection methods, process controls, and quality documentation.
• Ensure manufacturing readiness prior to production launch and validate that quality requirements are met before mass production.
• Monitor product and process performance during ramp-up and drive improvements to achieve stable production results.
• Lead structured problem-solving activities using methodologies such as 8D, Root Cause Analysis, 5 Why, and data-driven decision making.
• Capture and transfer lessons learned from development, pilot builds, and initial production into manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, and Global Quality teams to deliver successful product launches.
• Communicate project status, quality risks, escalation needs, and mitigation plans to stakeholders.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in Quality Engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI), product launches, production transfers, or manufacturing ramp-up activities.
• Working knowledge of PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Controls, Risk Assessments, 8D, Root Cause Analysis, and SPC.
• Experience applying structured problem-solving methodologies and using data to support decision making.
• Ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining ownership and accountability.

What Will Put You Ahead

• Experience supporting new product launches within electronics manufacturing environments.
• Experience with optical fiber, fiber optic cable assemblies, connectors, wire harnesses, or related products.
• Knowledge of high-volume or high-mix manufacturing operations.
• Experience working with global engineering and manufacturing organizations.
• Experience interacting with customers and suppliers on quality-related topics.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent continuous improvement certification.
• Demonstrated ability to challenge assumptions, influence technical decisions, and proactively drive quality improvements.
