Quality Engineer - Failure Analysis

Mercedes-Benz Vans is a successful manufacturer of premium light commercial vehicles (LCV) for customers and markets worldwide. Our purpose is “to move transportation to the next level” and to define the LCV business of the future: focused on sustainability, connectivity and digital solutions. We have decided to expand our battery-electric LCV production capacity and implement an entirely new plant next to our existing Mercedes-Benz production facility in Jawor. We are now looking for highly-motivated employees, who would like to shape the future of mobility together with us!

Task:

• Independently conduct complex analyses on product and process issues, initiate corrective actions and manage them through to implementation, effectiveness monitoring, and documenting lessons learned
• Coordinate error handling and ensure the flow of information with other departments, from production and engineering to development, as well as across plants (worldwide). Document these topics in the system
• Independent planning, management, and control of projects within your own area of responsibility
• Participate in the planning and execution of quality approvals

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Automotive Technology or a related field
• Several years of professional experience in cross-departmental and cross-plant collaboration, particularly with the development departments, as well as in committee work
• Fluent in English (German would be an advantage)
• Experience with Mercedes-Benz or other automotive products and processes (Bodyshop, Assembly)
• Knowledge of quality management tools
• Analytical, strategic, and conceptual skills
• Team spirit
• Independent, goal-oriented, and results-driven work style
