About the Role
Join Creditsafe's exciting new project to enter the UK Consumer Credit Bureau space and evolve into a full Consumer Reporting Agency. We’re seeking a Quality Engineer with experience testing cloud-native software systems to help design, build, and scale our data platform focused on data quality, lineage, and auditability.
What You'll Do
- Contribute actively to the codebase and participate in peer reviews; drive development from 3-Amigo’s refinement sessions through post-deployment observability.
- Design and build metadata-driven, event-based distributed data processing pipelines using Python, Spark, Airflow, Iceberg, DynamoDB, AWS Glue, and S3.
- Play an active role in the design, development, and deployment of Creditsafe's business-critical system.
- Build and scale data pipelines that combine batch and streaming approaches, targeting sub-500ms latency for data serving.
- Understand domain data to make recommendations that improve the product.
- Leverage AI tools to enhance your work across tasks.
What We're Looking For
- You understand and can implement data engineering best practices.
- You demonstrate the ability to write clean and efficient code and maximize performance in a cloud environment.
- Minimum of 6 years of development experience in a commercial setting building production-grade data pipelines in Python.
- You are eager to grow your skills through daily technical challenges and enjoy collaborative problem solving.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate your views clearly while understanding others.
- A proven track record mentoring engineers, performing hands-on technical work, and providing leadership on complex technology issues.
- Collaborative mindset; you share ideas via wikis and discussion boards and document decisions for the benefit of others.
- You take ownership of end-to-end deliverables from planning through to production.
