Job title: Quality Engineer

About the Role As a Quality Engineer at Copeland Mikulov, you’ll help ensure excellence in our manufacturing processes—supporting both production relocation projects and ongoing serial production. You’ll lead quality initiatives, work cross-functionally, and apply problem-solving tools to prevent defects and improve KPIs.

What You'll Do

  • Ensure the quality of products and production processes, especially during relocation and ongoing manufacturing.
  • Lead qualification of new products, production lines, and equipment into testing and manufacturing processes.
  • Identify and resolve issues within production and testing.
  • Drive initiatives to reduce customer and internal PPM and improve First Pass Yield (FPY), scrap rates, and other KPIs.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with production, engineering, suppliers, and customers.
  • Lead or contribute to improvement projects using RCA, FMEA, Lean-Kaizen, and Six Sigma.
  • Implement and maintain quality management systems, including ISO 9001.
  • Conduct risk analyses, root cause investigations, and define corrective and preventive actions.
  • Work closely with the QC lab and quality engineering to plan and verify tests ensuring product quality.
  • Participate in the development of environmental, fire safety, and occupational health and safety systems.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum: Technical secondary school (mechanical engineering or related field).
  • Preferred: University degree in technical engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Communicative level of English.
  • Strong command of MS Office and ability to interpret technical drawings.
  • Understanding of production processes and quality control principles.
  • Detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset and team spirit.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with ISO 9001.
  • Preferred: Proficiency in quality tools and methods (e.g., FMEA, RCA).
  • Preferred: Basic knowledge of CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD).

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with ISO 9001.
  • CAD software experience (AutoCAD).
