About the Role Clariant Japan's Shizuoka Plant is seeking a Quality Control Specialist to conduct QC testing for raw materials, intermediates and final products, contributing to customer satisfaction and stable operations. The role also drives root-cause analysis and supports compliance with management systems such as ISO, cGMP, RSPO to enable safe, sustainable production. What You'll Do

Quality testing and analysis of raw materials, intermediates, and final products.

Analyze quality data and drive quality improvement activities.

Maintain and operate analytical instruments.

Conduct root cause analysis of quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Support operation of management systems such as ISO9001, ISO14001, cGMP, RSPO.

Handle customer samples and perform various analyses/evaluations.

Respond to customer complaints and quality inquiries.

Manage nonconforming products. What We're Looking For

Required: High school diploma or higher with chemistry background.

Experience in quality control or manufacturing in a chemical company (about 1 year+).

Basic knowledge of handling chemical analysis instruments.

PC skills for QC (Microsoft Office, etc.).

Ability to communicate smoothly in Japanese.

English reading/writing ability (email correspondence).

Nice to Have:

University or technical college major in chemistry, applied chemistry, materials engineering, etc.

Knowledge or experience with ISO9001, ISO14001, cGMP, RSPO.

Experience in root cause analysis and improvement activities for quality issues.

Experience handling customer interactions or complaints.

English communication ability.

Compensation & Benefits Salary will be determined according to experience and skills per company policy. Benefits include base bonus twice a year and annual performance bonus under the Global Bonus Plan. Shift work is required: 1st shift 6:40-15:20, 2nd shift 14:40-23:20, 3rd shift 22:40-7:20 (7h30 workday with breaks).
