Job title: Quality Control Body Paint Specialist
About the Role Quality Control Body Paint Specialist applies quality control engineering principles to Hyundai's automotive paint process to enhance paint quality while meeting internal and external customer requirements. This role supports inspection, analysis, countermeasures, and continuous improvement across production, engineering, and supplier quality to ensure compliance with specifications and legal requirements.
What You'll Do
- Inspect incoming raw material properties and perform online appearance checks
- Investigate and analyze defective products and develop effective countermeasures
- Establish short-term/long-term counter measures to ensure smooth production
- Collaborate with Engineering and Production on quality improvements during current production and during new project development stage
- Enhance supplier quality by conducting Supplier Process Audit (SPA) and reviewing their products, tools, and systems periodically
- Participate/lead BIP audit and Color Harmony sharing inspection results with suppliers, engineering and production to request and discuss improvement plan
- Manage assigned products to meet internal/external customer requirements
- Improve efficiency of quality control management system by learning and applying new technology, knowledge, and equipment
- Ensure the adequacy of relevant procedures and systems in accordance to specification and applicable legal requirements
- Meet all other requirements as assigned
What We're Looking For
- Education: Bachelor's degree required; Chemical Engineering major preferred or advanced degree in a related field
- Licenses: Valid driver's license required
- Competencies: Concern for Quality; Prompt Judgement and Action; Complex Problem Solving; Monitoring & Feedback
- Travel: Domestic / International travel required
- Language: Strong command of English (written and spoken) essential for safety, communication, documentation, and collaboration
