About this role
Quality Assurance Technician for Bachoco USA's 2nd Shift in the Further Processing Plant. This role ensures product quality and food safety compliance by monitoring finished product attributes, calibrating equipment, and enforcing HACCP, GMP, and SSOP standards.
What You'll Do
- Set up workstation and ensure calibration and functioning of necessary equipment.
- Monitor product attributes according to finished product specifications.
- Verify that products meet in-plant food safety requirements.
- Monitor and document HACCP, GMP and SSOP regulations.
- Identify and isolate questionable product.
- Obtain finished product laboratory samples.
What We're Looking For
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Language: Ability to read and comprehend English; ability to write simple correspondence and present information.
- Mathematical Skills: Basic arithmetic, unit conversions and measurement handling.
- Reasoning: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and solve problems with several variables.
- Other Skills and Abilities: Passing score on appropriate Quality test; ability to calibrate thermometers and QC scales; follow procedures such as product formulation, marinade and temperature-related tests as listed.
- Experience: Level two position; 1-3 years' experience in in-plant quality activities.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay rate: $16.75 per hour.
- Night shift premium: $1/hour (Only for 2nd & 3rd Shift Positions).
- Weekly attendance incentive: $1/hour.
