Job title: Quality Assurance Technician
About the Role Join Bachoco USA as a Quality Assurance Technician on the 1st shift at the Further Processing Plant (Dept. 187). This role monitors and verifies finished product compliance with all specifications, ensures in-plant food safety requirements are met, and supports calibration and sampling activities across a multi-protein production environment.
What You'll Do
- Set up a workstation and ensure necessary equipment is calibrated and functioning properly.
- Monitor product attributes according to finished product specifications.
- Verify the product has met all in-plant food safety requirements.
- Monitor and document applicable HACCP, GMP, and SSOP regulations.
- Identify and isolate questionable product.
- Obtain finished product laboratory samples.
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate in English; basic math and measurement skills.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and solve problems.
- 1-3 years' experience in in-plant quality activities preferred.
- Passing score on appropriate Quality tests and ability to perform listed QA procedures (thermometer calibration, calibrate a QC scale, marinade formulation, product formulation, etc.).
- Ability to work in a manufacturing/food production environment.
Nice to Have
- Level two position within the Quality Systems Function; experience in in-plant quality activities preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: $16.75 per hour with additional incentives and scheduled pay increases at 30- and 90-days.
