Quality Assurance, QA Specialist
About the opportunity
We are looking for a collaborative and motivated Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist to join our team in Västerås. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring product quality, compliance, and continuous improvement across our manufacturing operations. Working closely with colleagues across different departments, you will help maintain compliance while driving improvements to quality processes and performance. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive quality-focused professional who enjoys solving problems, influencing positive change, and contributing to operational excellence in a regulated environment.
Your tasks
Reviewing batch documentation and performing product release activities for oligonucleotide products manufactured at our site. Managing, reviewing, and approving deviations, CAPAs, and Change Controls while ensuring compliance with applicable quality standards. Leading and supporting root cause investigations and problem-solving activities to address quality-related issues. Reviewing and approving quality documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, risk assessments, and related records. Representing QA in cross-functional projects and improvement initiatives. Contributing to the development, optimisation, and enhancement of quality processes, systems, and ways of working. Monitoring key quality metrics, identifying trends, and supporting actions that improve performance and compliance.
Your profile
Please submit your application in English. University degree in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Engineering, or a related field. Experience working within QA (or similar) in a regulated environment, ideally within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or broader life sciences industry. Knowledge of deviation management, CAPA processes, and Change Control activities. Fluent Swedish and English, written and spoken, essential. Knowledge of GMP, ISO 9001, ISO 13485 would be advantageous. Experience of risk management, validation, qualification, or process improvement methodologies would be advantageous. A structured, analytical, and collaborative approach, combined with a proactive, solution-focused mindset and a high level of integrity.
