We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Quality Assurance Officer

Locations: Abuja (FCT) and Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time

Reports to: City Team Lead

Department: Field Operations

About the Role

• We are looking for a Quality Assurance Officer to join our field operations team in Lagos and Abuja.
• You will serve as the primary quality and operations point at your assigned market, ensuring that orders are accurate, complete, fresh, and aligned with customer specifications from the time an order is placed through vendor dispatch and drop-off.
• This is a hands-on field role suited to someone who is observant, trustworthy, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced market environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct quality checks on orders at assigned markets to ensure accuracy, freshness, and completeness.
• Verify goods against order specifications before dispatch.
• Identify and escalate issues involving damaged, missing, incorrect, or poor-quality items.
• Work closely with vendors to resolve quality and order-related issues.
• Support vendor onboarding and ensure vendors understand quality and order requirements.
• Support consumer acquisition and sign-up activities within assigned markets.
• Capture relevant field data, take photographs, and maintain accurate daily records.
• Submit daily activity and quality reports to the City Team Lead.
• Maintain high standards of professionalism, integrity, and customer service while representing the company in the field.

Qualifications

• Minimum of HND in Food Science, Agribusiness, Nutrition, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
• 1–2 years of experience in food quality, market operations, logistics, retail, supply chain, or a related field.
• Strong fresh graduates with relevant market exposure, internships, NYSC experience, or practical field experience are encouraged to apply.
• Practical understanding of food freshness, spoilage, grading, and quality assessment is an advantage.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong attention to detail and ability to spot quality issues quickly.
• Good knowledge of fresh produce and food quality standards.
• Comfortable using a smartphone for data collection, photography, communication, and reporting.
• Strong observation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Honest, reliable, and trustworthy when handling goods and orders.
• Physically fit and comfortable working on your feet in busy market environments.
• Ability to work independently and follow operational procedures.
• Fluency in the local market language is strongly preferred.

Consumer Sign-Up Target:

As part of the field operations team, you will also support consumer acquisition within your assigned market:

• Daily: 10 sign-ups
• Weekly: 50 sign-ups
• Monthly: 200 sign-ups

Who We're Looking For:

• We're looking for someone who can spot a quality issue before it reaches the customer, communicate effectively with vendors and field teams, and maintain accurate records even in a busy market environment.

Salary

N150,000 - N200,000 / month.
