Job title: Quality Assurance Lead – Construction (Chantier)
About the Role ANDRITZ Canada is seeking a Construction Site Quality Assurance Leader to manage the on-site QA team and to implement and maintain the Andritz QA system across Canadian sites. The role focuses on quality control, welding processes, and ensuring compliance with project quality plans in a fast-paced, complex environment.
What You'll Do
- Manage the on-site QA team (recruitment, retention, assignments, training, evaluations, etc.)
- Implement and maintain the QA system for all Canadian projects
- Manage welding processes: maintain welding procedures bank; act as point of contact for CWB; delegate welding supervisors; audit welding processes on-site; provide welding technical support
- Quality on-site management: update and implement project quality plan (on-site portion); participate in kick-off meetings; contribute to design reviews from a quality perspective; review installation manuals for quality; manage on-site quality records and archiving; lessons learned processes
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or relevant experience
- At least 10 years of experience including at least 3 years in team management
- Passion for quality and integrity
- Experience on construction sites
- Hydro experience is an asset
- General knowledge of dimensional mechanical measurement equipment
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- CAD software knowledge
- 3D measurement instruments a plus
- Previous training in safety and on-site work
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) in French and English
- Willing to travel for short durations to job sites
