Quality Assurance Engineer - Global HR Technology QA Testing

About the Role Contributes to the success of Global HR Technology Quality Assurance Testing by ensuring objectives align with the team’s business strategies and regulatory requirements. Designs and executes QAT test plans and supports continuous improvement of testing activities across projects. Works with development teams and external suppliers to ensure business and technical requirements are fulfilled and quality is delivered. What You'll Do

• Design QAT test plans; assign and review test documentation (functions, test cases, scripts).
• Schedule and approve the release of projects into the QAT environment; execute test plans daily to meet project requirements.
• Continually evaluate priorities within projects and take decisive action amid frequent directional changes.
• Assess QAT test results and take appropriate action; collaborate with the development group to resolve defects; escalate issues when necessary.
• Work with project teams during the software development life cycle to ensure business and technical requirements are fulfilled; contribute recommendations and assessments to ongoing project reviews.
• Maintain knowledge of banking applications, QAT code configuration, system integration, environment resources and code delivery process; provide technical advice to development teams and external suppliers on integration within the UAT environment.
• Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
• Actively pursue effective and efficient operations aligned with Scotiabank’s Values, Code of Conduct and Global Sales Principles while ensuring business controls meet obligations related to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.
• Champion a high-performance environment and contribute to an inclusive work environment. What We're Looking For
• 1-3 years of experience in software Quality Assurance (required).
• Knowledge of QA methodologies, tools and processes.
• Demonstrable hands-on experience using Jira.
• Experience writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Strong communication skills in both English and Spanish with the ability to resolve escalated issues effectively.
