About the Role

We are looking for a motivated Quality Analyst to join our growing Quality team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who is looking to build their experience within a manufacturing and quality environment.

In this role, you will support the inspection and assessment of materials, components and assemblies used within our products, helping to ensure they meet the required quality standards before entering production. You'll work closely with colleagues across Quality, Production, Engineering and Supply Chain, developing valuable technical skills while contributing to the delivery of high-quality products.

As much of the work involves the inspection and assessment of electronic and mechanical components, this role would particularly suit candidates with an academic background in Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

This position would suit someone with previous experience in manufacturing, quality control, engineering, electronics assembly, mechanical inspection or technical inspection environments who is keen to develop a long-term career in Quality.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Carrying out incoming inspections of electronic, mechanical and electromechanical materials, components and assemblies against approved specifications, engineering drawings and acceptance criteria.
  • Performing visual, dimensional and functional inspections using measurement equipment such as calipers, gauges, micrometers and other inspection tools.
  • Recording inspection results accurately within quality systems and maintaining traceability records.
  • Identifying and documenting non-conforming materials and supporting quality investigations.
  • Assisting with the collection and analysis of quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Supporting production teams with component and material-related quality issues.
  • Working with internal teams to help resolve quality concerns and improve processes.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement activities and the ongoing development of inspection methods and procedures.
  • Maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy and attention to detail in all activities.

About You

We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, detail-oriented and eager to develop their technical and quality knowledge.

Essential

  • Degree, HNC/HND, apprenticeship, or equivalent qualification in Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing, production, quality, inspection, engineering or laboratory environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow procedures and work accurately.
  • Good problem-solving, analytical and organisational skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Desirable

  • Experience carrying out inspections or quality checks on electronic, mechanical or electromechanical components.
  • Familiarity with measurement equipment such as calipers, gauges, micrometers or other inspection tools.
  • Experience reviewing engineering drawings, technical specifications or manufacturing documentation.
  • Exposure to electronics, engineering, manufacturing, medical device or other regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and regulated quality processes.
  • Understanding of quality systems, non-conformances, CAPA activities or root cause investigations.
  • Experience within a highly controlled manufacturing environment.

Why Join Us?

This role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop a career in Quality. You'll receive training and support while gaining experience in:

  • Quality inspection and measurement techniques.
  • Engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Non-conformance management and quality investigations.
  • Root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Manufacturing quality processes.
  • Quality Management Systems.
  • Data analysis and continuous improvement activities.

There will be clear opportunities for growth and progression into areas such as Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Quality, Supplier Quality, or Quality Engineering as your experience develops.

If you're looking to build your career in Quality and want to join a supportive team where you can learn, develop and make an impact, we'd love to hear from you.
