About the Role Bay Area Hospital is seeking a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patients’ psychosocial health. The role provides individual, family, and group therapy and involves creating and supervising an interdisciplinary rehabilitation plan to meet patient needs.
What You'll Do
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient and family/caregiver psychosocial needs.
- Provide individual, family, and/or group therapy.
- Create and supervise an interdisciplinary rehabilitation plan.
- Collaborate with the care team to integrate care from multiple sources and access community resources.
- Maintain regular attendance and adapt to a varied shift schedule.
What We're Looking For
- Meets Oregon QMHP criteria (one of: licensed psychiatrist/physician in the state; graduate degree in psychology, social work, or a mental health-related field; RN with graduate degree in psychiatric nursing; RN with Bachelor’s and QMHP skills; occupational therapist; or graduate degree in recreational therapy).
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Knowledge of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).
- Strong group skills and effective problem-solving and teaching abilities.
- Knowledge of community resources and ability to access and integrate care from multiple sources.
- Flexible schedule and willingness to work varied shifts.
- American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; workplace violence training within 6 months of hire (deadline: last day of the month after the six-month grace period).
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in psychiatric patient care.
Nice to Have
- Therapeutic Recreational Specialist certification preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $34.96 - $47.29 per hour USD.
