Work model Hybrid

As a Senior qTest Technical Product Consultant, you will drive the adoption, integration, and optimization of qTest as the core test management platform. Your role is to ensure seamless interoperability with upstream and downstream systems, including Quality API, Test Harness, and Azure DevOps (ADO). The consultant will act as the platform authority, owning admin standards and making sound architectural decisions where qTest interacts with multiple tools.

In this role, you will

  • Lead adoption and optimization of qTest as the enterprise test management platform.
  • Design, implement, and support integrations between qTest and Quality API, Test Harness, ADO, and other connected tools.
  • Own qTest administration: user/project/role setup, configuration, and governance.
  • Define and enforce standards for API usage, webhook configuration, and data synchronization between qTest and connected systems.
  • Assess qTest infrastructure and capacity (scalability, performance, API rate limits, data volumes) and recommend improvements.
  • Make and defend design decisions on integration patterns, i.e., what works well when qTest interacts with multiple systems.
  • Partner with EQE+ teams to troubleshoot integration issues, optimize data pipelines, and ensure data integrity across systems.
  • Drive change management with stakeholders, including those resistant to the transformation.
  • Produce documentation, runbooks, and best-practice guides; mentor admins and teams.

  • Deep knowledge of qTest architecture, infrastructure, and capacity planning.
  • Strong experience with qTest APIs, webhooks, and Quality API integrations.
  • Hands-on integration experience with Azure DevOps (work items, pipelines, defect sync).
  • Experience with Test Harness or similar execution and results-reporting frameworks.
  • Strong working knowledge of data synchronization, ETL/data pipelines, and data integrity validation.
  • Scripting skills (Python, JavaScript, or PowerShell) and REST/JSON expertise.
