Section: Overview Speedaf Nigeria is seeking a QC Manager to oversee quality control across its logistics operations, including pick-up, sorting, transit, and last-mile delivery. The role will focus on maintaining operational standards, monitoring performance, investigating service failures, and driving continuous improvement.
Section: Responsibilities
- Design, document, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all operational stages, including pick-up, sorting, transit, and last-mile delivery.
- Conduct regular internal audits of warehouses, sorting hubs, and transit vehicles to ensure adherence to safety and handling protocols.
- Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs), including On-Time Delivery (OTD), damage rate, and customer complaint resolution time.
- Ensure operations comply with Nigerian regulations, including standards set by the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) and relevant transport/logistics licensing requirements.
- Lead investigations into major service failures, lost shipments, and damaged goods.
- Implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Oversee quality training programmes for operations staff, drivers, and warehouse handlers to ensure they understand the impact of their actions on service quality.
- Analyse exception-parcel data and conduct on-site investigations among frontline and mid-level staff across pick-up, transit, sorting, and delivery operations.
- Diagnose root causes of low pick-up rates, service attitude issues, delivery delays, parcel loss and damage, and human operational errors.
- Formulate targeted improvement plans and closely follow up on implementation status.
- Monitor end-to-end KPIs, including pick-up rate, pickup-to-delivery SLA, parcel loss rate, damage rate, customer complaints caused by service attitude, and staff operational errors.
- Drive continuous improvement across operations.
Section: Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in quality control or operations management within the logistics, courier, or express delivery sector.
- Hands-on experience in Nigeria’s established logistics or express delivery enterprises.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Power BI, or logistics ERP systems.
- In-depth knowledge of Nigerian logistics industry regulations.
- Experience with QMS documentation and audit procedures.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to drive change in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Candidates from logistics companies will be preferred.
