QA Lead - UAT (Bogotá)

About the Role Contributes to the overall success of Scotiabank’s QA / Global Enterprise Technology Quality Assurance in Bogota, Colombia by delivering against team goals and ensuring compliance with governing regulations and internal policies. What You'll Do

• Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
• Supervise and coordinate testing for projects/releases; assess UAT project risk, plan and review test documentation, and balance risk with testing resources in a fast-paced environment.
• Design UAT test plans; assign and review test documentation (functions, testcases, scripts) and adhere to UAT standards and procedures.
• Schedule and approve the release of projects into the UAT environment; execute complex test plans and supervise testing; coordinate resources, people and environments, and manage external service providers.
• Continually evaluate priorities and take decisive action in response to changing directives.
• Assess UAT results, work with development to resolve defects; escalate issues to management and make recommendations to release to Production.
• Transfer knowledge to junior analysts within UAT; provide hands-on training on systems, hardware, environment, product, standards, and methodology; coach and provide feedback on objectives and team development.
• Work with project teams during the software development life cycle to ensure business and technical requirements are fulfilled; contribute to ongoing project reviews.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of a broad range of banking applications, UAT code configuration, system integration, and environment resources. What We're Looking For
• Experience leading UAT/coordinated testing and risk assessment for multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to design UAT test plans, assign and review test documentation, and balance risk with testing resources while adhering to policies.
• Strong collaboration skills to coordinate with development teams and external service providers; ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
• Proven defect resolution capabilities and experience recommending releases to Production.
• Experience training and mentoring junior analysts and transferring domain knowledge. Nice to Have
• Strong communication and leadership skills; ability to motivate and build teams.
