About the Role Develops and maintains systems, rules, and processes to ensure compliance with internal and external requirements. Ensures projects and products are capable and meet specified standards (Preventive). Is responsible for the quality of their own work. Generally receives direct functional supervision and prescribed work instructions / system verifications. Work is performed within a well-defined support-function framework.
What You'll Do
- Develops and maintains quality management systems, rules, and processes to ensure compliance and that projects and products meet specified standards.
- Represents GE Healthcare before external agencies and leads the evolution of the quality culture, implementing quality objectives, metrics, reporting mechanisms, and operational processes.
- Drives a culture of Quality by leading compliance activities around a product, site, or region and being responsible for the business's total quality management system and quality metrics.
- Resolves problems per established procedures; consults with the supervisor or higher-ranking team members for issues outside parameters.
- Collaborates with others to resolve problems; for customer-facing roles, builds strong client relationships and acts as the intermediary between the client and GE, exchanging technical information, asking questions, and verifying understanding.
- Demonstrates effective communication within the organization.
